The Company

The Company
Serendipity Body Products was established in Edmonton in 2014. We specialize in handcrafting spa-quality, healthy skin care products and helping people with conditions and symptoms through aromatherapy consultations.

The business began with selling a few products - in way too many scents! - at craft and farmers' markets. The product line has grown and become more focused on health and the environment, and all our products are made with the highest standard of care and attention.

We operate primarily through an online store but we'd love to meet you in person at an in-person shopping appointment. We are located at 7507 111 Avenue NW in Edmonton.

We offer free shipping but ask that you consider reducing carbon emissions by purchasing at least 3 items or a minimum of $40.

The Owner

Serendipity body products owner

Hi, I'm Deena Peters. I am the owner and operator of Serendipity Body Products. I have a BSc in Ecology and have several years' experience in the quality management industry. I am a Certified Aromatherapist and have additional certifications in skin and body care and nutritional therapy. I've spent hundreds of hours on ingredient research.

My goal is to help health-conscious customers with their concerns and symptoms. Honesty, integrity, health and wellness and customer satisfaction are my guiding principles.

I was born and raised in Winnipeg and early on discovered a passion for cooking and the outdoors. My love of animals got me started in a zoology program. I soon discovered that plants were equally fascinating and finished my BSc degree with a major in Ecology.

I took up running and completed a half marathon. A friend introduced me to trail running and I was immediately hooked, running legs of the Canadian Death Race and Sinister Seven, and running the Skyline Trail, the Blackfoot Ultra and the Grizzly Ultra.

I took a "Diva for a Day" body products class and found it was a calorie-free outlet for my cooking. After quitting my office job in quality management, I decided to turn my hobby into a business. I love researching natural alternatives, experimenting with new formulas, making improvements and helping people. Over the years I've learned about healthy ingredients for my skin and for my cooking, and continue to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

My passion for helping people and using natural ingredients led me to complete my training to become a Certified Aromatherapist.
