WHAT IS AROMATHERAPY? HOW DOES IT WORK?

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote health and well-being. Essential oils are composed of hundreds of different constituents. It's the combination and amount of each constituent that determine the properties of the essential oil. These oils can be applied topically or through inhalation. Used topically, the oils are absorbed into your skin and enter your bloodstream. When inhaled, the essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves straight to the brain.

IS AROMATHERAPY FOR ME?​

Most people seek aromatherapy services when their doctor can't help them, their medicine doesn't fully relieve their symptoms or causes new symptoms, or they're looking for a natural alternative. Aromatherapy can help with many conditions; stress, headaches, depression, anxiety, hormones, skin conditions and sleep being the most common. However, aromatherapy can also help with  Restless Leg Syndrome, panic attacks, digestive, respiratory, muscular, circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, neurological, skeletal and immune conditions.
If you're being treated for cancer, please talk to your doctor before booking an appointment.

AROMATHERAPIST'S QUALIFICATIONS

Deena Peters completed a 600 hour advanced aromatherapy certification program in 2020 and is a Certified Aromatherapist. She is a member of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy and is insured. 

AROMATHERAPY CONSULTATIONS

An aromatherapy consultation is your first visit and involves completing a consent/disclaimer form and then a discussion regarding your current health conditions and concerns, medical background and medications. The aromatherapist will work with you to find a customized and holistic blend that is both pleasant and convenient for you to use. The aromatherapist considers your health complaints, scent preferences, safety, convenience, and contraindications before making your unique blend. We offer full personalized service that focuses on you because we care about you and your health.
Please bring a list of medications with you. These appointments are one hour and are $60 plus the cost of your blend.
If you are concerned about using essential oils given your medical history, please consult with your GP prior to your appointment.

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS

Once you have had an aromatherapy consultation, you may book a follow up appointment. Follow up appointments are 30 minutes and are $30 plus the cost of your blend (if applicable). If your original consultation was over a year ago, please book another consultation appointment rather than a follow-up.

CUSTOMIZED BLENDS

The conditions we will be targeting determine the format of your blend. Blends can come in a diffuser blend, inhaler, lotion, diluted oil blend, spray, bath salts or rollerball. Most blends cost between $10 and $25 but it depends on the format and the essential oils used. If not available immediately, your blend can be picked up or shipped to you. If you experience an adverse reaction, discontinue use immediately and contact us.

BLEND REFILLS

Please contact us for a blend refill. An aromatherapy services appointment is not required.

PAYMENT

Please pay for your aromatherapy services at our online store. You can pay for your blend at your appointment by cash, credit or debit.

BOOKING APPOINTMENTS

  1. Book an appointment by calling or texting 587-778-9750 or email us. Let us know when works for you and we'll do our best to accommodate you. We have no set hours and are very flexible. If this is a gift, you can let the recipient make the appointment.
  2. Pay here.

Payment is due at the time of booking. If payment is not received, your appointment may be cancelled.

Cancellation policy: Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours from the appointment time as well as no-shows will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.

Although the best way for us to help you is through an in-person appointment, we do offer online aromatherapy services.

Your health is our first priority. Face masks are optional and hand sanitizer is available. If you're not feeling well, have been out of the country, have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or have any COVID-19 symptoms, please reschedule or cancel your appointment.

All information that you share with your aromatherapist (verbally or in writing) will be kept confidential.
