WHAT IS AROMATHERAPY? HOW DOES IT WORK?

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote health and well-being. Essential oils are composed of hundreds of different constituents. It's the combination and amount of constituents that determine the properties of the essential oil. These oils can be applied topically or through inhalation. Used topically, the oils are absorbed into your skin and enter your bloodstream. When inhaled, the essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves straight to the brain.

IS AROMATHERAPY FOR ME?​

Most people seek an aromatherapist when their doctor can't help them, their medicine doesn't fully relieve their symptoms or causes new symptoms or they're looking for a natural alternative. Aromatherapy can help with many conditions; stress, anxiety and sleep being the most common. However, aromatherapy can also help with skin, digestive, respiratory, hormonal, muscular, circulatory, lymphatic, excretory, endocrine, neurological, skeletal, nervous and immune conditions.

IS THE AROMATHERAPIST QUALIFIED?

Deena Peters completed a 600 hour advanced aromatherapy certification program in 2020 and is a Certified Aromatherapist.

AROMATHERAPY CONSULTATIONS

An aromatherapy consultation is your first visit and involves completing a consent/disclaimer form and then a discussion with the aromatherapist regarding your current health conditions and concerns, medical background and medications. The aromatherapist will work with you to find a customized and holistic blend that is both pleasant and convenient for you to use. We offer full personalized service that focuses on you because we care about you and your health. After your appointment we may need to do some research on your condition or the essential oils that would be most beneficial to you. We will also ensure that the chosen oils are safe for you with no contraindications or risks with any medication or other conditions. 

Please bring a list of medications with you. These appointments are 60 minutes and are $60 plus the cost of your blend.
If you are concerned about using essential oils given your medical history, please consult with your GP prior to your appointment.

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS

After you have had an aromatherapy consultation, you may book a follow up appointment to discuss any changes to your symptoms or your blend. Please note that these appointments are for conditions that have previously been discussed. For new symptoms or conditions please book a consultation so there is enough time to address these. Follow up appointments are 30 minutes and are $30 plus the cost of your blend (if applicable).

WHAT TYPE OF CUSTOMIZED BLEND WILL I GET? HOW MUCH IS IT?

The conditions we will be targeting determine the format of your blend. Blends can come in a diffuser blend, inhaler, lotion, diluted oil blend, spray, bath salts or rollerball. Most blends cost between $10 and $25 but it depends on the format and the essential oils used. If not available immediately, your blend can be picked up or shipped to you. If you experience an adverse reaction, discontinue use immediately and contact us. 

HOW CAN I PAY?

Please pay for your appointment at our online store. You can pay for your blend at your appointment by cash, credit or debit.

HOW DO I GET A BLEND REFILL?

Please contact us for a blend refill. An appointment is not required.

WHAT COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS ARE YOU TAKING?

Your health is our first priority. Face masks are optional and our aromatherapist will wear a mask upon request. Hand sanitizer is available. If you're not feeling well, have been out of the country, have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or have any COVID-19 symptoms, please reschedule or cancel your appointment.

All information that you share with your aromatherapist (verbally or in writing) will be kept confidential.

  2. Pay here.
Payment is due at the time of booking. If payment is not received, your appointment may be cancelled.

Cancellation policy: Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours from the appointment time as well as no-shows will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.


​DO YOU HOLD APPOINTMENTS BY VIDEO?

Yes we do. Although the best way for us to help you is through an appointment in person, we do offer online appointments when COVID restrictions are in effect.
